Thank-you for taking
an interest in D.A.S.C & browsing through our website. Though Daventry Arsenal remains our base, membership has now spread further a field including Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Rugby, Coventry, Leicester and Milton Keynes, since our inaugural in season in 1996-97, when as a group of friends it was decided to go for an official supporters club. The clubs main aim is to promote "Arsenal Football Club" in the area through organised ticket and travel as well as other activities like discos, social nights, quiz's, meetings etc. We cater for all different age groups from lads to O.A.P's, from children through to Adults. (we also offer a special family membership). Our ambition is to please most of the people most of the time but we are also realistic to know that we can't please all of the people all of the time. It is at this stage that I must remind everyone that we are a supporters club and not a ticket agency and therefore all our transport must be fully utilised. As a club we will endeavour to obtain as many tickets as possible for our members though it must be understood that for the most popular games we cannot order an endless supply of tickets to please everyone, we therefore employ certain measures such as first come first served or Daventry Arsenal supporters club loyalty points (explained in depth in the Members Handbook), where we cannot supply tickets alternatives will be offered. Guests are welcome but do not enjoy discounted travel and obviously for the popular games such as Manchester untied, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, champions league etc, it will be members only, one membership number = 1 ticket. Members living outside the Daventry area will be given special consideration once transport has been fully utilised e.g. a member living in Birmingham has no use for the bus when we are playing Aston Villa and Birmingham city. Meetings are usually held on a monthly basis at "the Islington arms", St James Club, Daventry (normally the first Sunday of the month but please confirm with Paul Shields before travelling). These meetings are for the benefit of all concerned and we would like to think that everyone could spare an hour and a half once a month to attend, we are also looking to assist people from outside the Daventry area with transport problems in order that they can attend the odd meeting or two. Every member that attends qualifies for D.A.S.C. loyalty points and this is an ideal opportunity to share ideas or opinions about how you're club is run.
